FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently asked questions about design, printing, materials, ADI cards, DXpedition, clubs and shipping.

Can I order a QSL card design from scratch?

Yes. Send your callsign, photos, logo, map or general idea. We will prepare a proof for approval.

What materials are best for print?

High resolution photos, vector logos and files without heavy compression work best. Better source material means better final print.

Will I receive a proof before printing?

Yes. We send a design proof before printing. Printing should start only after your approval.

Do you make cards for clubs and DXpeditions?

Yes. Clubs, special event stations, contests, IOTA and DXpeditions are one of the key CoolQSL directions.

Can you prepare cards from an ADI log?

Yes, depending on the project we can use ADI log data or prepare personalized QSO details.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. CoolQSL works with radio amateurs from many countries and supports international projects.

Can I order merchandise in the same style?

Yes. We can create a consistent set: QSL, LED callsign sign, apparel, mugs, lanyards and awards.

Do you make folded QSL cards?

Yes. Folded cards are useful for expeditions, clubs and projects that need more space for photos and story.

Do you make SWL cards?

Yes. We also prepare cards for shortwave listeners and collectors.

How long does production take?

Turnaround depends on quantity, design and current workload. First we prepare and approve the design, then print and ship.

Can I order only the design without printing?

Yes. We can prepare only the QSL card design, stamp design, LED sign layout or graphics for further use.

Can I send my own QSL card design?

Yes. Ready files are accepted, but they must follow technical requirements: 300 dpi, CMYK, bleed and fonts converted to outlines.

Do you print cards for CB operators?

Yes. We can produce cards for CB, HAM, SWL, clubs, special event stations and expeditions.

Do you create DXpedition designs?

Yes. We prepare DXpedition, IOTA, contest and special callsign QSL card projects.
